Join A4BGU’s South Florida Chapter for a special screening of “Who Are The Marcuses?” in partnership with Temple Beth Am.

“Who Are The Marcuses?” uncovers a mysterious Long Island couple whose half-a-billion-dollar gift inspires peace and climate action through water technology in Israel. Holocaust survivors Lottie and Howard Marcus, an unassuming couple who first settled in Great Neck, New York, and retired to a modest two-bedroom apartment in San Diego, California, bequeathed a half-billion dollars to Ben Gurion University in 2016 – the largest single charitable donation in Israel’s history. An amazing story of how two “ordinary” people made an extraordinary impact.

This screening will be followed by a talkback to learn more about the film and how the Marcuses’ remarkable gift impacted Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the State of Israel.

As part of our Yom HaShoah observance, we invite you to learn about this inspiring story of the legacy of Holocaust survivors and their immense contribution to Israel, and to the Jewish people.

Light reception to follow.

Free of charge with your RSVP.
